Can I break my lease early?

It probably won't cost that much to have an attorney draft the letter. If you write it and send it there is nothing to say that he/she will do anything about it. Your attorney will know what laws apply including the landlord having to pay for your attorney. I would get out of there for sure, but don't go in a panic. Think this through.
