Can you skip the Burning Crusade and go straight to Wrath of the Lynch King?

My wife is fairly new to World of Warcraft and just hit level 60. Is it possible for her to upgrade to the new Wrath of the Lynch King, or will she need to upgrade to Burning Crusade first?
