I have AT&T and have a Blackjack but don't have internet, but have UNLIMITED Messaging. Does it cost money?

this is really confusing. i have a blackjack, but no internet, but i have unlimited messaging. does it cost money to reply to a forwarding message? and can some one explain AIM forwarding? TYVM!
