French Help??? please!?

I am doing a crossword puzzle and one of the clues is "a hot time in quebec." It is a four letter word ending in o u t. I would believe that it is in french and I do have some basic french knowledge but anything I could think of does not fit the puzzle. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!
